We’re on the hunt for some food and time is ticking. The kitchen is about to close and we need to select somewhere to dine. We stumble upon Bravo, Tapas and Wine.
If you’re looking for something quaint, relaxed with good alcohol and delectable Spanish inspired food Bravo is the place. A small restaurant tucked away in the new luxury Wuchang Dream Mall near Baotong Temple, gives you a great after work dinner and chill vibe. I’ve never had Spanish inspired food since I’ve been in China and this was a treat to experience. The flavors were like I’ve never had here and all I can say is I enjoyed every bite.

We began the meal with a Sliced beef and cheese tapas. Listen to me right now. Run and try all the tapas they have on the menu. After having the first one I had to try two other ones. I decided on the Teriyaki eel with shredded ginger and the Ham and tomato with cream cheese. I love every bite. I was smiling from ear to ear. My palate was satisfied immensely.

Next up was the main dishes. We had the Braised Spanish Oxtail first. I’ve never had oxtail served while with the bones since being in China. And this did not disappoint. It was served with a small side of mashed potatoes and the creamy flavor balance well with the slightly spicy and acidic flavor of the oxtail. The oxtail was tender and fell off the bone. 10/10 would recommend this if you ever visit Bravo.

Next up we ordered the Seafood Paella. This was another first for me. I’m sure the Paella in Spanish countries maybe better than what I had. Nonetheless, it delivered what it was supposed to do. Seasoning was spot on, portion was perfect and I could share it and still feel full after finishing the meal. They give you the option to select how you’d like the texture of the rice, which I think was a smart move. Not everyone wants their rice soft.

We had Sangrias to top off the meal along with some complimentary nuts. They were out of Churros when we got there, but if I ever return I’ll be sure to try them. Overall Bravo was a hit. Something I didn’t know I needed to experience but I’m always thankful for a new discovery. Round of applause for a Bravo meal!

Until next time keep that appetite open till we see where to next!
